The first Tauranga National Art Awards will be held from 10 – 16 November 2008. We are proud to have the Farmer Motor Group as our sponsors and the event will be held at their new Auto Village in Hewletts Road, Tauranga.

Entries have now closed.  Please click here to read the amended Conditions of Entry and click here for the Instructions for Delivery and Collection.

A selection committee will select which artworks will be displayed. On Sunday, 9 November 2008, the selected paintings will be adjudicated and award certificates for the winner in each category will replace the prices on those artworks.  The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday, 10 November to Sunday, 16 November. The eleven award - winning artworks will be auctioned on Wednesday, 12 November 2008 at 6 pm. The prices previously displayed on the artworks will be deemed to be the reserves. After the auction the winning artworks will remain in place for the duration of the exhibition and can be collected on Sunday evening, 16 November 2008 by the successful purchasers. All other artworks will remain for sale for the duration of the exhibition.

The auction will be a formal event and bar refreshments and canapés will be served. All guests will be by invitation and His Worship, the Mayor of Tauranga, Stuart Crosby, will open the evening.

Careful planning and an experienced team will ensure that this event will be of the highest quality.
